ONE PERSON ARRESTED IN SUSPECTED DWI ACCIDENT

  

 One person was arrested Thursday following a suspected DWI-involved accident.

Officer Hunter Andras responded to a call to an accident in the 500 block of E. Main. The caller said the original accident occurred in the 600 block of S. Market, and that she followed the vehicle that struck hers to Main St.

The caller said she was making a right turn into a parking lot on Market St, when the other vehicle hit the right rear bumper.

When Andras made contact with the driver of the other vehicle, 28 year old Vanessa Darlene Nienstedt, Andras could smell alcohol emitting from her breathe.

After a short discussion, the driver admitted to having struck the other vehicle.

After performing a field sobriety test, Andras arrested the driver for Driving While Intoxicated.
