ONE PERSON KILLED IN BURLESON CO. ACCIDENT
An elderly San Marcos man is dead following a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Burleson County.
85-year old Daniel Padberg of San Marcos was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, at Highway 21 and FM 50, near the Brazos County line.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Padberg was traveling on FM 50 and turned in front of another vehicle traveling on Highway 21.
A passenger in Padberg’s car, 87-year old Sarah O’Brien, also of San Marcosd, was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries.
The driver of the second car, 25-year old Jessica Carlson of Alvin, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation into the crash continues.
