TRASH FIRE BURNS FIVE ACRES IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

An out of control trash fire burned approximately five acres in Fayette County on Wednesday.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in at 1:40 p.m. reporting the fire at Leslie Road in the Fayetteville area. When the Fayetteville Fire Department arrived on the scene they found that a trash fire had spread, consuming three to five acres.

Assistance was requested from the Round Top-Warrenton Fire Department, Ellinger Fire Department, and the Texas Forest Service.

The fire was contained and extinguished before the Texas Forest Service arrived. There were no injuries or structures damaged during the fire.
