OVER $16,000 RAISED AT ARTS AND APPETIZERS EVENT

Over $16,000 was raised at last night’s Arts and Appetizers event hosted by the Brenham ISD Education Foundation.

The annual fund-raising event was held in the Brenham National Bank lobby, with artwork produced by BISD art students, with proceeds benefitting Brenham ISD art students, the Brenham ISD Art Program and the Brenham Public Schools.

Preliminary numbers from the event show that the live auction brought in $9,325.  The top item in the live auction was a painting by Zoe Cavasar which was purchased by Moorman and Tate Attorneys for $1,100.   The silent auction netted $2,285.  Donations, Alumni, and the culinary raffle brought in another $4695 bringing the total raised to $16,305.  Last year the event brought in $15,730.
