OVER $900,000 IN BUILDING PERMITS ISSUED IN FEBRUARY

  

Construction on a number of residential homes in Brenham brought the amount of building permits issued for the month of February to over $900,000.

The city issued $900,846 in building permits last month, which is down from $1,143,413 issued in February 2016.

A $308,604 building permit was issued for a Mill Creek Custom Home located at 1897 Lauraine Street. Five permits were issued to Clayton Homes ranging from $30,000 to $60,000.

A $42,640 permit was issued to Pruneda Construction for a liquor store.

While the monthly total is down in comparison to February 2016,  the value of permits issued in 2017 is well ahead of last year’s pace.

The total year amount to date for 2017 is $7,962,957. At this same time last year, $3,188,949 in building permits were issued.

Building permits in 2017 got off to a huge start in January, thanks largely to a number of permits issued for Northview Village for a remodel.
