FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY FOR BURLESON COUNTY, NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

There is a Flash Flood ADVISORY is in effect for Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Waller & Washington counties until 10am. Rain & thunderstorms are moving through the Brazos Valley this morning. Winds upwards of 40mph will be possible along & ahead of this activity. The winds subside once the heavy rain begins, however, damaging winds and hail will be possible with these storms.

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office's Public Information Officer Christine Labertew is receiving numerous reports of water over the roadway throughout the county.  There has been no major damage reported from the storms this morning, however we have reports of some trees down as well.

All roadways remain open at this time, however, the Burleson County Sheriff's office would like to remind everyone there may be some roads that are impassable due to the water that is continuing to rise.  We have law enforcement throughout the county monitoring road conditions and will continue to monitor them throughout the morning.

There have been no reports of damage so far in Washington County
