PAIGE FISCHER NAMED 2015 WASHINGTON CO. FAIR QUEEN

  

Paige Michelle Fischer is the Queen of the 147^th Washington County Fair.

Paige was named the 2015 Queen at the opening ceremony Saturday night at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Paige, a junior at Brenham High School, was sponsored by the Washington County 4H and is the daughter of Bozie and Patsy Fischer of Brenham.  She is a member of the Brenham High School Golf Team and the Brenham FFA.

Paige sold $52,575 worth of pre-sale tickets.  As a group the five 2015 candidates sold a total of $178,837 in advance tickets—a new single-season pre-sale record.

Runner-up for 2015 Fair Queen is Kendall Smidovec, daughter of Jonathan and Beth Ann Schramm.  Kendall is a junior at Brenham High School and was also sponsored by Washington County 4H.

Other members of the Queens’ Court are: Ashley Bentke, daughter of Ronald and Jeri Bentke, sponsored by the Brenham Anchor Club; McKenna Wiesepape, daughter of Mark and Kristen Wiesepape, sponsored by the Brenham Cub Band; and Caitlyn Counsil, daughter fo Carey and Rebecca Counsil, sponsored by Brenham FFA.

The 147^th fair kicked off with a week’s worth of activities, Friday night.  The fair will run through next Saturday night.
