PAIR ARRESTED AFTER FALSE KIDNAPPING REPORT

Two people face charges after their arrests this weekend.

Late Saturday night, Cpl. Justin Schiller and other officers were dispatched to the area of US 290 and FM 389 in reference to a possible abduction.

Sgt. Jason Derrick located the vehicle in the 2400 block of S. Day and Schiller, Cpl. Eddie Ortega and Cpl. Seth Klehm all arrived at the location.

The driver, 25-year old Jaime Guytan of East Bernard, admitted he had been drinking and said he and the female in the car were boyfriend-girlfriend.

Schiller conducted a field sobriety test, which Guytan failed. He is charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Cpl. Ortega talked to the alleged victim, 23-year old Sarah Elizabeth Brysch of Rosenberg, who admitted she was not being kidnapped. She is charged with Public Intoxication and Making a False Report.
