PANTHERS DOWN IOLA–WILL FACE SABINE PASS IN PLAYOFFS

The Burton Panthers defeated Iola, Tuesday night, in a district seeding game, 9-4.
Cash Kunkel (6-1) went five innings to pick up the win, giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits, while striking out six.
Demonderick Winters went 3-for-4, with 3 runs and an rbi. Aaron Kohring also had 3 hits, including a home run, scoring twice and driving in 2.
Cade Weiss, was 3-for-4, with a double and 2 rbi, and Cash Callahan hit a 2-run homer.
The Panthers are now 18-3 and finish district play 11-2.
The will now face Sabine Pass in the Region IV/2A Bi-District playoffs.
They will meet in a one-game playoff, Friday night at 7:00 at Tomball High School.
