PAUL LaROCHE — LONGTIME BUSINESSMAN DIES AT 93
A long-time Brenham business and civic leader has died.
Paul LaRoch died at a local nursing home at the age of 93.
LaRoche was the long-time owner of the LaRoche auto dealerships in Brenham.
LaRoche served the community in a number of capacities, including: president and director of the Washington County Chamber of Commer, Brenham Industrial Foundation, Washington County Industrial Development Corporation and the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park Association.
He also served on the boards of Brenham Wholesale Grocery and Brenham National Bank.
LaRoche also spearheaded fundraising campaigns for a number of causes including the Brenham State School and Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village.
He was named the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Man-of-the-Year in 1984.
A memorial service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.
