PEDESTRIAN KILLED ON ROBERTSON CO. HIGHWAY
A Robertson County man is dead after he was struck and killed on Highway-6 in Hearne.
57-year old James Fachorn of Hearne was struck by a tractor-trailer as he walked along the highway just after 6:30, Wednesday morning.
According to DPS Sargent Jimmy Morgan, a person driving a truck in the southbound lanes of Highway 6 noticed a pedestrian walking across the highway and swerved to avoid him. Moments later, a tractor-trailer heading northbound on Highway 6 struck Fachorn.
Fachorn was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan where he later died.
The investigation continues.
