United Airlines Flight 6266 departed Bush Intercontinental Airport, bound for Boise, Idaho just after 6:00 p.m. and landed at Easterwood Airport just before 6:45.

The plane was diverted due to a report of smoke in the fuselage. United says it was a "mechanical issue."

Firefighters responding to the incident, and were unable to find the source of the smoke.

United sent another plane to College Station, which then took the passengers on to Boise.  The plane was at full capacity.
