PLANNING AND ZONING TO CONSIDER 3 REQUESTS MONDAY

  

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will be considering three requests at their meeting Monday.

Redeemer Church Brenham is requesting a special use permit to allow church services and activates on their property at 2111 South Blue Bell Road.  That location was Brenham Christian Academy and it was recently purchased by Redeemer Church.  They plan to continue operating the school as well as holding Sunday services in the gymnasium.  The property is currently zoned single family residential.

On Site Clean Car is requesting a special use permit to allow an auto detail shop to be located at 1414 West Main Street.  That location was previously the location of Modern Seamless Products.  The lot is currently designated Business / Residential Mixed.  City staff is recommending it be approved with a requirement for a visual barrier at the rear of the property to screen it from the adjacent residential area.

The third request that the commission will consider is approval of a plat to form the R&S commercial subdivision.  The property is just over 1 acre and is located at 1804 South Blue Bell Road.  A closed convenience store and some storage units currently occupy the property

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets Monday at 5:15 pm on the second floor of City Hall.
