POLICE HAVE GROWING COLLECTION OF STOLEN BIKES

If your bicycle has been stolen or is missing, the Brenham police may have it.

The department is asking for the public’s help in returning stolen and missing property.

Police have recovered numerous bicycles over the past several months and are asking residents who may be missing one to contact the department.

Debbie Northrup is the evidence technician for the department, and can help find out if a missing bike is one of those that has been found.

Police also say they believe people are stealing these bikes, then using them as transportation to commit more crimes such as burglaries and thefts.

Northrup can be contacted at 337-7323.

  1. Can any of these bikes be bought by the public at all? It’s a shame seeing them all sit there looking like they’re stored in a ware house / pawn shop NOT being used. Please advise.
