POLICE INVESTIGATE MULTIPLE AUTO BURGLARIES AT HOTELS

Cpl. Chris Jackson of the Brenham Police Department says local law enforcement officers are meeting with the owners and managers of local hotels, trying to find ways to stop a rash of auto burglaries from hotel parking lots.

Jackson says the police are investigating at least three auto burglaries that were reported Wednesday and says these type of burglaries have become commonplace.

Jackson says there was  pattern in these break ins.  The driver’s side windows were broken, the cars were rummaged through and usually a few easily removable items were stolen.  An Iphone, a GPS device, and a radar detector were stolen.  The vehicles were parked at the La Quinta, on Woodridge Road, the Best Western, in the 1500 block of Highway 290 east, and the Holiday Inn Express at 555 Highway 290 west.

All of these burglaries are currently being investigated.
