POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT

  

Brenham Police are investigating a theft, where a woman says an acquaintance stole a large amount of cash.

Early Tuesday morning, Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer and Officer Sierra Newell were approached by a woman who said her wallet had been stolen out of her purse.

The victim said she had given a friend a ride and that before she picked him up, she had put her wallet in her purse and laid it on her back seat.

She then says after she dropped her friend off, she noticed her wallet was missing. The victim said she had over $400 in her wallet.

Police are searching for the woman’s “friend”.
