POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFTS

  

Brenham police are investigating a pair of thefts at local businesses.

 

An employee at a business at the 500 block of Highway 290 East told Sgt. Jason Derrick that a cell phone had been stolen from a desk, and camera equipment stolen from an equipment locker.

The camera and mini-camcorder were valued at $1,299; the cell phone at $99.

The theft was reported at around noon, Thursday.

 

Thursday, just before noon, Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer was dispatched to the 2300 block of S. Day in reference to a theft.

The caller said she was checking in a guest when a white male came in to register for a room. She said he walked around the lobby area and used the restroom while she completed the registration process for the other guest.

She said the man never returned from the restroom and when she went back to the lobby, she found her Kindle had been stolen.

Estimated cost of the Kindle is $250.
