The body of 20-year old Trey Alan Kurtz was found the night of October 30th at the intersection of Seelhorst and Dark Streets near downtown Brenham.

Kurtz, a native of Houston, had died from a single gunshot wound.

Police Chief Rex Phelps says his office has “no doubt that someone witnessed the crime as it happened.

Phelps also urged the witness to, “come forward and do the right thing for the victim.”

Phelps says police “know the suspect who actually pulled the trigger was not alone” and his office is reaching out to anyone that was present to “show good faith and come forward with the needed information.”

Anyone with information on the murder of Trey Kurtz is asked and encouraged to call Brenham Police Department at 979-337-7272.
