POLISH BEEF RANCHERS TO VISIT BRENHAM

  

Brenham will be playing host to some foreign beef industry officials.

A group of eight beef industry officials from Poland will arrive Wednesday, for a week-long visit that includes tours of area beefing operations as well as the research facilities at Texas A&M.

Among the visitors from Poland will be cattle breeders, marketers and scientists from ProOptiBeef, a national initiative improve beef quality and production efficiency.

The Polish contingent will also tour grocery stores and meat markets in the area, as well as Beefmaster ranches, genetic collection and development centers, beef feed lots and auction centers.

The group will also be attending workshops at A&M’s Meat Science and Beef Centers.

The group is being hosted by Doyle and Dorothy Sanders of Double D Bar Beefmaster Ranch in the Industry-New Ulm area.
