POLISH GOVERNOR VISITS CHAPPELL HILL

  

A foreign dignitary spent some time this weekend in Washington County.

Piotr Całbecki, who serves as one of the Governors of Poland, visited Chappell Hill, Saturday.

Calbecki, his wife and daughters were welcomed with a friendship bread and ceremony at the Chappell Hill Museum.

Friday night the governor met with officials from Texas A&M as his country works on developing partnerships including learning more about agriculture, oil and gas.

Całbecki, who was visiting the U.S. for the first time, said he was, "…very, very impressed about Texas about the friendly atmosphere."
