POSSESSION ARRESTS IN BRENHAM

  

Two men face charges after their arrests in Brenham.

21-year old Sam Thomas Harrison of Spring Branch and 18-year old Jonathan Matthew Marquez of Austin were arrested on possession charges.

Police Cpl. Edward Ortega investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Jackson Street, Thursday afternoon.

Ortega says he could smell marijuana coming from the car.  A search turned up marijuana and some pills that Harrison did not have a prescription for.

Harrison is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone; and possession of a dangerous drug in a drug free zone.

Marquez is charged with possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.

Also charged with marijuana possession is 18-year old Rogshik Keiveon Black of Houston.

According to Officer Terrence Johnson, Black was one of four men reported hanging around a shed on some vacant property.

Johnson says he saw Black drop a marijuana cigarette from his hand as he approached.

Black is charged with Possession of marijuana.
