POSSIBLE DROWNING AT FAYETTE POWER PLANT LAKE MONDAY

  

Update 5-10-2018 1:00 PM -  Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that the victim has been identified as 66 year old Charles Edward Lewandowski of Houston.  The case is being ruled as an accidental death due to drowning at this time.

A possible downing was reported Monday at the Fayette Power Plant Lake near Fayetteville.  Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that Monday afternoon, Deputies CJ Lehmann and Ryan Meagher with the assistance of a boater on the lake were able to bring the victim to the shore.  The victim was later pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Sheila Coufal. According to witness statements, the subject had been at the lake since early morning and frequents the location to wade fish.  The name of the victim is currently being withheld pending notification of family.
