PUNISHMENT PHASE IN GABRIEL HALL TRIAL CONTINUES ON MONDAY
The punishment phase in the trial of convicted killer Gabriel Hall continues at the Brazos County Courthouse.
The jury has been sent home for the weekend.
Hall has been convicted of shooting and stabbing Texas A&M professor Edwin Shaar and stabbing his wife Linda in October 2011.
On Friday, Dr. Richard Adler, a Seattle psychiatrist, was the only person to testify on Friday, telling the court that he conducted a psychiatric exam of Gabrielle in August of 2013. Adler says that Gabriel told him he had no second thoughts about the murder.
Adler says that he does not agree with the state’s expert witness, as one of the state’s experts says he disagrees with Dr. Adler’s report.
The punishment phase continues next week.
