RECORDS SET THURSDAY AT 2015 JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SALE
The 2015 Junior Livestock Sale Grand and Reserve Champions Livestock Sale broke and tied several records on Thursday afternoon.
There was a total of $810,350 worth of sales, with eight new records were set.
The Grand Champion records set were:
Grand Champion Broiler, Dalton Winkelmann, member of the Salem 4H, sold in the amount of $8,100 and was bought by Henson Energy Services.
Grand Champion Turkey, Cameron Draehn, Brenham FFA, sold for $10,500 and was purchased by Metropolitan Water.
Grand Champion Barrow, Pierson Spies of the Burton 4H, tied a record, with the Barrow selling for $8,000. It was purchased by J&J Packing.
Grand Champion Steer, Rhealee Spies, Burton FFA, sold for $23,000, and was bought by Metropolitan Water.
The Reserve Champion Records set were:
Reserve Champion Broilers, Hunter Kunkel, from the Burton 4H, was sold for $6,400, and was purchased by Henson Energy Services.
Reserve Champion Carcass Hog, Corbin Janner, Prairie Hill 4H, sold for $8,250, and was purchased by J&J Packing and Voluntary Insurance.
Reserve Champion Turkey, Kaden Seeker, Prairie Hill 4H, sold for $5,200, and was purchased by Wichita Ranch.
Reserve Champion Barrow, Jackson Kalkhake, Burton 4H, sold for $6,800, and was purchased by South Central Concrete, Rocking P Cattle, Lauren Concrete and Debit to the Left Ranch.
Reserve Champion Rabbit, Megan Mick, Zionsville 4H, sold for for $6,000, and was purchased by J&J Packing.
