RETIREMENT PARTY HELD FOR TERRY ROBERTS WEDNESDAY

A retirement party was held Wednesday evening for Brenham City Manager Terry Roberts.  Roberts has served as Brenham’s City Manager for the past 17 years.  Brenham Mayor Milton Tate presented Roberts with a painting of a field of bluebonnets.  Brenham’s new City Manager, James Fisher officially takes over the role today.  A Meet and Greet will be held Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Fireman's Training Center for residents to visit with Fisher.   Roberts said that he decided to stay this long in Brenham because of the people here: the City Council members that he worked under, the city staff that he worked with, and the people in the community.

  1. Glad he’s gone ! Would like to know what his retirement package cost the citizens of Brenham !!!!

    1. Really, Julia? Was that comment necessary? Roberts served this community for 17 years. If he was doing a bad job, somewhere along the way the city council would have seen fit to get rid of him.

    2. Definitely uncalled-for, and unfair. I would downvote your comment if I could. Why not turn your attention to your next target? Did you stop by the meet ‘n greet to introduce yourself to the new city manager as a neighborly taxpayer?
