Rhealee Speis showed the Grand Champion Steer Wednesday at the Washington County Fair. Rhealee is the 17 year old daughter of Adam and Ronda Spies and is a member of Burton FFA. She was showing in the European Heavy Weight Class. Rhealee won Reserved Champion Steer two years ago but was disqualified after the steer tested positive for antibiotics. That led to a prolonged controversy after local businessman C.H. Harvey purchased the steer in the Junior Livestock Auction.

13 year old Alexandria Countouriotis of the Burton 4H showed the Reserve Grand Champion Steer.  She is the daughter of Kara Spacek and Demetrius Countouriotis.  Her steer was in the American Heavy Weight Class.

  1. She was Reserve Champion two years ago, Makenna Schulte was Grand Champion that year! and, WHY do you feel they need to re-hash this again? Be supportive of our youth!!

  2. Way to go girls!! Rhealee you showed this community you can win. I personally know you work hard at your raising and showing of animals. Was it necessary to include all the information about her winning 2 years ago and to name CH Harvey in the post??
