ROUND TOP FESTIVAL TO FEATURE 92 TALENTED MUSICIANS
Round Top Festival Institute presents the Round Top Music Festival 2015 on June 6 and running through July 11.
92 talented young artists were selected by the Round Top Festival Institute from over 600 applicants to reside for six weeks during the summer and study with distinguished international faculty.
They will perform as the Texas Festival Orchestra while in residence, beginning with the opening concert on Saturday, June 6.
The educational program, one of the best of its kind, includes private lessons, master classes, workshops, chamber music coaching, orchestra sectionals and orchestra rehearsals conducted by worldwide celebrated conductors.
The chamber and orchestral repertoire includes works by composers ranging from Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz and Tchaikovsky to Shostakovich, Martinu, Rachmaninoff, Mahler, Gershwin, Bernstein and many others.
The faculty members, with the participation of the young artists, perform chamber music concerts.
The annual crowd-pleasing "Patriotic Concert" is presented this year on Sunday, July 5 at 3:00 pm.
Tickets are $25 to $30 for adults and $10 to $15 for students.
