ROYER’S CAFE AND CANNERY KITCHEN TO HOST CHRISTMAS DINNER

Royer’s Cafe and Faith Mission’s Cannery Kitchen are teaming up to provide Christmas Day Dinner for those in need.

Faith Mission and the Cannery Kitchen have provided a Thanksgiving meal in past years.  The meals were provided free of charge to families and homebound meals were taken to the sick and shut-in.

Recently JB and Jamie Royer approached Faith Mission about providing Christmas Dinner.  Rev. Wells of Faith Mission shared with them some of the statistics on depression and suicides during the holidays.   Royer says that loneliness and isolation can be very dangerous, especially this time of year.  Royer said that they have been very blessed through their business and want to be a blessing to others.

Royer’s Round Top Cafe will be serving Christmas Dinner at the Cannery Kitchen, 314 E. Alamo St. from 4-5:30pm.  The Christmas Day meal is free of charge and all are welcome.  The menu for Christmas Day will be roasted turkey, corn bread stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, and lots of rolls and pies.
