The Rybarski Family Reading Room was dedicated Thursday afternoon at the Brenham Clinic.  The dedication was part of the launch of the new Reach Out and Read early childhood literacy program.  The event featured local celebrity readers, including Brenham Mayor Milton Tate, Jr. and representatives from the Brenham Police and Fire Departments.  The Brenham Clinic is partnering with more than 5,000 program sites nationwide that are preparing America’s youngest children to succeed in school by incorporating education and free age-appropriate books into routine pediatric check-ups.

Brenham Clinic pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Jones tells us the purpose of the Reach Out and Read Program and how it will be implemented:
