Sam's Club and Kroger have joined H-E-B in temporarily stopping sales of Blue Bell products until they can determine that none of the products came from the company’s Broken Arrow, Oklahoma plant.

The Brenham company issued a recall last month, after ice cream contaminated with listeriosis was linked to three deaths at a Kansas hospital.

Friday the company announced it was temporarily closing a production plant in Broken Arrow.  The foodborne illness was tracked to a production line in Brenham and later to a second line in the Oklahoma plant.

In a statement issued Friday, the company said its Oklahoma facility will undergo a thorough inspection "for any possible problems that may have led to the contamination of some of our ice cream products in the past few weeks."
