SCAM INTERRUPTED
Two young men apparently trying to run a scam were chased off from a local store.
Police were called out around 5:30 last Thursday night to the local WalMart store, where two young men from the Houston area were raising funds for a non-existent school.
Police say 20-year old Marvous Wolf of Humble and 23-year old Xavier Allen of Houston told customers they were collecting money for football uniforms for “Morris High School”.
They told customers the school was new and was in Brenham off FM-577.
Police say the two were cited for Criminal Trespass.
