SCHOOL BOARD TO CONSIDER RESOLUTION ON RESIDENTIAL FACILITY

The Brenham School Board will consider a resolution regarding the Bluebonnet Haven Residential Facility during their meeting Thursday.  At their April 2nd meeting, trustees heard several reports from staff members about the possible staffing requirements and costs for BISD if they elected to become the District of Record for the facility.  Bluebonnet Haven is under construction on Highway 36 South, across from the Brenham State Supported Living Center entrance.  It is designed for 32 residents and if the state completes the licensing this summer, it could begin housing students as early as August.

Also on Thursday’s agenda, trustees will consider teacher contracts for the upcoming school year.  They will also hear a number of reports including a construction update on the Krause Elementary School, an update on the Early Childhood Learning Center Library, and an update on district safety and security.

The Brenham School Board meets Thursday at 6:30 PM at the High School.
