SCHULENBURG MAN DIES IN ONE CAR ACCIDENT
A Schulenburg man is dead after a one vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Fayette County.
Just before 10.a.m, 75-year-old Eugene Pauler was headed south on US 77 two miles south of Schulenburg. According to DPS, his car hydroplaned and slid off of the roadway. His vehicle struck a tree near the driver’s side door.
Pauler was taken to Lavaca Medical Center in Hallettsville where he died at 11:50 a.m.
The accident was investigated by DPS Troopers and Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, with the help of the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department.
