SEALY COUNCIL TO INTERVIEW FINALISTS FOR CITY MANAGER

  

The Sealy City Council will be interviewing the four finalists for City Manager this week.

Today (Monday) and Wednesday, the four finalists for Sealy City Manager will be interviewed by Mayor Janice Whitehead and members of the City Council.  After reviewing 33 applications for the position, the Council narrowed the field to Stephen Ashley who has most recently served as the City Manager for Spring Valley Village Texas; Lloyd Merrell who was most recently the City Manager for Madisonville, Kentucky; Andrea Gardner who is the current City Manager of Copperas Cove, Texas; and Debi Lee who is currently the Village Manager for Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Sealy’s City Planning and Community Development Director, Warren Escovy, has been serving as interim City Manager since Larry Kuciemba’s contract was terminated in late May.  Escovy did not apply to be considered for the permanent position.
