SEALY OFFICIAL RESIGNS

The Public Utilities Superintendent for the City of Sealy has resigned following an investigation by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Jimmy Wright, who has been employed by the City of Sealy for 13 years, submitted his resignation recently.  As Sealy’s Public Utilities Superintendent, Wright was responsible for the testing of the City’s four water wells.  After a recent visit by inspectors from TCEQ, Sealy was notified that there were things they needed to correct.  City Manager Larry Kuciemba said samples from only two of the four city wells were submitted to the state as required, although it was reported that all four samples were completed.
