SEARCH CONTINUES FOR MAN WHO JUMPED OFF BRAZOS RIVER BRIDGE

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a man they believe jumped off the Texas 21 bridge on Saturday.

Authorities say they still don’t know the identity of the man.

Just after 10:15 p.m., the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from the man who said he felt like harming himself and was at the Texas 21 bridge.

Several officers from the Burleson County and Brazos County Sheriff’s Offices responded to the bridge. When they arrived, a Brazos County deputy saw the man being swept away in the river.

Multiple agencies assisted in the search Saturday and Sunday, however, the man has still not been located.

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office is requesting any property owners along the river to keep a look out for the man and call 911 or the Burleson County Sheriff's Office if he is located.

Officials say he is possibly a 40-year-old white male, 6 foot 1 inch, 200 pounds with brown hair, wearing a red shirt and jeans.

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office can be reached by calling 979-567-4343.
