SEARCH CONTINUES FOR PET CENTER MANAGER

The call is going out for any local “cat cuddlers” and “dog walkers” as the City of Brenham looks to fill positions at the Pet Adoption and Care Center.

The search continues for a new animal services manager to oversee the operations of the center.

A panel has been interviewing in hopes of filling the post in the near future.

The city will announce a new volunteer program sometime in mid-March.  An animal industry professional had been evaluating the previous operations at the center and is working with staff to develop the new program, which will be more safety-prioritized.

The city will then look to fill newly-defined volunteer positions to help with administrative tasks, with an orientation set for some time in late March.

City officials say they look forward to positive changes to the center in 2018.

  1. I think that Carol would be a great asset to the facility, She not only exposed the problems, but she has all the answers to the problems. It’s a no brainer… She has proven to the community she knows what they need so problem solved.
