SENIOR CENTER CONTINUES TO GARNER DONATIONS

Members of the public continue to donate to the Champion for Seniors drive to raise funds for the new Senior Center.

According to drive chair Dottie Schaer, gifts from the community have reached over $75,000 for the center that held its grand opening, Sunday.

Also, an anonymous $250,000 “wish list” donation has been made for a naming-opportunity for the dining room.

According to Shaer, membership to the center has reached over 2,000 seniors.

Shaer says that while the activity schedule officially begins next Tuesday, many programs and projects are already underway, including: the lunch program, Master of Balance classes, exercise and education classes, as well as cards & dominos
