SEVEN PEOPLE SENTENCE IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT

  

Seven persons plead guilty to felony offenses and received terms ranging from probation to prison terms in the 21st Judicial District Court, according to Julie Renken, District Attorney.

Steven Gantt, age 43, of Burton, plead guilty to Aggravated Assault Date/Family/House with Weapons. Gantt was accused of stabbing a family member in the eye last Thanksgiving. The victim was blinded during the incident, according to police.

He was sentenced to fifteen years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, court cost, with restitution to be determined.

Jack William Boenker, age 43, of Brenham, plead guilty to two cases of Injury to the Elderly, from July 14, 2012. Boenker was sentenced to five years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, ordered to pay court cost, $1500 fine, an $80 to the Family Violence Center.

On the second Injury to the Elderly charge, Boenker had his probation revoked, and was sentenced to five years in the TDCJ, and ordered to pay court cost.

Albert Garza, age 24, of Navasota, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, from July 22, 2014, and was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ, ordered to pay court cost, $2,000 fine, his court-appointed attorney fee, and a $50 Crime Stopper fee.

Brandon Sereal, age 25, of Houston, charged with Burglary of a Building from December 22, 2014. Sereal was sentenced to 18 months in the TDCJ, and to pay court cost.

Preston Scott, age 21, of Brenham, charged with Criminal Mischief $1500-$20,000 from April 22, 2013, and had his probation adjudicated and sentenced to fourteen months in the TDCJ, ordered to pay court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, and pay $7,515.34 restitution.

Charity Faith Holder, age 40, of Brenham, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance from February 4, 2013, and was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ, probated for five years, ordered to pay court cost, a $1,000 fine, court cost, $180 lab fee, a $50 Crime Stoppers fee, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, drug offender education program, 200 hours of comjunity serived restitution, and provide DNA and urinalysis sample.

Frank Amason, age 36, of Brenham, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance from March 13, 2014, and was sentenced to three years deferred adjudication probation, $1000 fine, court cost, $180 lab fee, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, court-appointed attorney fee, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, drug offender education program, 120 hours of community service restitution, and provide urinalysis and DNA sample.
