SEVEN PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT THIS WEEK

  

Seven people plead guilty in District Court this week and were sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell.

Kelly Bryse Castlino, 36 of Somerville was sentenced to 11 years in prison for Theft of Copper.

Amanda Rochelle Phoenix, 24 of Burton, was sentenced to 8 years deferred adjudication probation for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon.  She was also ordered to pay a $750 fine, perform 300 hours of community service and spend 34 days in the Washington County Jail.  Phoenix was arrested in September of this year after she had stabbed her boyfriend in the upper thigh.

Tessa Jna Stewart, 25 of Waller was sentenced to 6 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  She was also ordered to pay a $2000 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Lisa Levy, 51 of Austin, was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  She was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Eduardo Michael Macejewski, 17 of Chappell Hill, was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.  He was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine, perform 200 hours of community service, and spend 60 days in the Washington County Jail.

Kwadareus Chapel, 23 of Chappell Hill, was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and perform 150 hours of community service.

Hunter William Craigen, 53 of Somerville, was sentenced to 3 years probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and perform 120 hours of community service.

  1. The Judicial System in Washington County, continues to ensure laws are followed and criminality will not be acceptable nor tolerated. The results of many apprehensions of criminal elements by law enforcement over the past several years has been very impressive. The best ways to control criminality is never enter the system. “for every crime committed there is always a victim”(A. Taylor)

    1. So have crimes committed and apprehensions both seen decreases over the last “several years?”
