A Brenham woman has been sentenced to three years behind bars after pleading guilty to a theft charge in 21st District Court this week.
54-year old Alice Wilson-Randle had her charge of Theft of over $1500 enhanced to a Third Degree Felony due to two previous convictions.
Also in 21st District Court this week, Judge Carson Campbell revoked the probation for 29-year old Christopher Denell Hudgen of Burton.
Hudgen had been placed on probation for a 2009 charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also fined $1000.
A Bellville man has been sentenced to one-year in jail. 27-year old Lawrence Edwards pleaded guilty to two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury for an incident from July of last year.
35-year old Zachary James Johnson of Brenham was sentenced to a year in the Washington County Jail. Johnson plead guilty to a charge of Resisting Arrests, Search or Transport which is a Class A misdemeanor.
Also sentenced to jail-time is 46-year old Thomas Luna Jr. He plead guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance and was ordered to spend 408 days in the Washington County Jail.
A 31-year old Brenham man was sentenced to two years in jail—probated to four years on a DWI charge. Jessie Dewayne Clifton was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under 15.
Clifton was also fined $1500, ordered to spend five days in the Washington County Jail, perform 160 hours of community service, and have an interlock device placed on his vehicle. He must also undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and attend a DWI intervention program.
And, a Trinity, Texas man has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to Evading Arrest with a Vehicle. 28-year old John Carlis Cox was placed on three years probation and fined $1500 for his January 19th arrest. He was also ordered to perform 120 hours of Community Service.
As part of the same case, Cox was placed on one year’s probation and had his driver’s license suspended for three months for Driving While Intoxicated.
