SEVERAL ANNOUNCED FOR OPEN POSITIONS FOR MAY 9TH ELECTIONS

  

The filing deadline of February 27th is approaching, with several candidates from the City of Brenham, Brenham ISD, Blinn Board of Trustees and the Burton School Board announcing for re-election.

Mayor Milton Tate has announced he has filed for re-election, and Dr. Gary Gabriel have announced he is going to run against Tate in May.

Danny Goss has announced he will seek re-election for his council position for Place 4 Ward 4, and Weldon Williams has announced for re-election for his seat in Place 2 Ward 2.

For Brenham ISD, Carey Council, and Mark Schneider have filed for Position 1 and Marshall Harrell, the incumbent, has not filed for re-election to Position 1, and Susan Jenkins, the incumbent has announced for re-election for Position 3.

Ray Weiss has not yet announced for re-election for Position 2. Michael Altman has filed for election for Position 2.

Dr. Donald Draehn has not yet announced for re-election for Position 4.

On the Blinn Board of Trustees, Precinct 3 Trustee Teddy Boehm has announced she intends to run for re-election, Precinct 1, David Reynolds, and Richard Powell have announced for Precinct 1.

Debbie Goss has announced for Precinct 4, the position being vacated by Leon Toubin.

Precincts 1 and 4 are for six year terms and the Precinct 3 position is for two years.

For the Burton School Board, the positions currently held by Board President Marcus Broesche and Vice-president Terri Smith have announced they are running for re-election.  Ande “Arch” Bostain, has announced for one of the two at-large positions.
