SGT.THUMANN AND LOBOS MAKE ANOTHER MARIJUANA FIND

  

Fayette County Drug Interdiction Sgt. Randy Thumann and his K9 partner Lobos have made another large marijuana find on I-10.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that Monday morning at 11:30, Sgt. Thumann conducted a traffic stop on a 2016 Chrysler Mini-Van.  After a conversation with the driver, Thumann became suspicious of illegal drugs being transported in the vehicle.  Lobos was deployed and alerted imminently to a storage compartment under the floor.  Inside the compartment was 48.7 pounds of marijuana.  Arrested for possession of marijuana were Michael Jiminez, 20 of Laredo and Alex Efrain Santa Maria, 21 of Dallas.  Both were transported to the Fayette County Jail.
