SH 249 MEETING IN NAVASOTA
The Texas Department of Transportation Bryan District is holding an open house meeting next Thursday to present the undated plan for SH 249 from FM 1774 to SH 105 in Grimes County.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday the 25th, from 5:30-to-7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Navasota Junior High School, in Navasota.
The plans will be on display and TxDOT staff will be available to discuss the proposed project. No formal presentation is planned.
Previously, the project was going to be a toll road, however that plan has been scrapped.
Adjustments in the alignment to avoid right-of-way impacts to wetlands and other sensitive environmental features are also proposed.
No residential or non-residential structures would be displaced.
