SHERIFF HANAK ANNOUNCES FORUM DATES

Sheriff Otto Hanak today announced two forum dates which are informational sessions for the residents of Washington County.

“The citizens of Washington County deserve to know what the Sheriff’s office does for them and have an opportunity to get to know the staff that protects and serves over 600 square miles of our county.  This year our forums will take place on March 12, at the Independence Baptist Church and on March 26, at the Gay Hill Sons of Hermann Lodge #193, both beginning at 6 P.M.   We plan to highlight the accomplishments of 2014, the priorities and expenditures of the Sheriff’s office, the challenges ahead for our law enforcement due to the continued growth and of course give the citizens an opportunity for questions,” stated Hanak.

“These forums have proven to not only be informational for the residents of the community, but for staff as well as we learn more about the needs of the county and how to enhance our services.   I encourage all the residents of Washington County to come and join us at one of these forums.  Also, I want to thank everyone that has assisted in hosting these forums, such as the Gay Hill Sons of Hermann Lodge, Gay Hill-Mound Hill-Cedar Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Lucille Kelm, Ruth Lorenz Ganske, Independence Historical Society and Independence Community Events,” concluded Hanak.
