SHERIFF’S OFFICE LOCATES TWO STOLEN VEHICLES

  

Two stolen vehicles were located by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office hidden on a property on Allen Road East of Brenham.  Sheriff Otto Hanak reports that a 2008 Ford Mustang stolen from a residence on Jason Lane near Tigerpoint Road Wednesday night was located by Sheriff’s deputies Thursday.  Also located on the same property was the burned out shell of a 2008 Ford F-350 4x4 truck.  With the assistance from DPS, the truck was identified as being stolen Tuesday from the 32000 block of Betka Road in Waller.  Tuesday was also the day that a 2011 Chevrolet Pickup was stolen from a residence on Rau Road east of Brenham and later located abandoned at 32711 Grove Park Road in Waller.

Deputies report that along with the 2008 Mustang being stolen on Jason Lane, other residents reported that assorted electronics that were stolen from parked and unlocked vehicles, as well as from unlocked garages in the area.  These thefts and burglaries occurred on two consecutive nights this week and Sheriff Hanak again reminds our citizens to lock their vehicles, their garages, and their residences and to be vigilant to any unusual activity in their neighborhoods, especially after midnight.  The investigation into these criminal acts continues.
