UPDATE – TWELVE COUNTY ROADS CLOSED DUE TO HEAVY RAINS

  

Due to the heavy rains today, several county roads have been closed due to high water.

At 5pm today (Wednesday) the following county roads were reported closed:

1. Meyersville Rd between FM 1155 and Wiesepape Rd
2. Heinecke Rd between FM 1155 to Borgstedte Rd
3. Jeske Rd between FM 50 and Old Independence Rd.
4. Old Chappell Hill Rd between Indian Paint Brush Rd and Pulawski School Ln
5. Krueger Rd between FM 1155 and Kolkhorst-Schultz
6. Felder Rd between Allwise Rd to FM 1155
7. Washington Cemetery between Hwy 105 to FM 1155
8. Old Gay Hill Rd. between Pledger Rd. and County Farm Ln.
9. Salem Rd between Apperson and FM 332
10. Caney Creek between Sempronius Rd. and Stern Rd.
11. Caney Creek between Chadwick Hogan Rd. and Sempronius Rd.
12. Mustang Rd. between Woodward Springs to Heather Glen

Washington and surrounding counties are under a Flash Flood Watch until 6pm today. At 3:30 this afternoon, the Brenham Water Treatment Plant reported that 1.95 inches of rain had fallen since 7 am.   The National Weather Service is predicting that widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue through tonight. Rainfall totals by Thursday morning are expected to range from 3 to 7 inches with locally higher amounts possible.
