SIX PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT THIS WEEK

  

Six people pled guilty in District Court this week and were sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell.

Carrie Lavette Alexander, 31 of Bellville, had her probation revoked from a 2009 theft conviction and was sentenced to 10 months in state jail.  She was also ordered to pay a $250 fine and a $275 hot check fee.

Jacky Don Teague, 36 of Somerville, was sentenced to 10 years probation for possession of a controlled substance.  He was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine and perform 400 hours of community service.

Wallace Counterman Jr., 41 of Brenham, was sentenced to 8 years deferred adjudication probation for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.  He was also ordered to pay a $2000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.

Jonathan Paul Pruett Jr., 36 of Brenham, was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation for assault of a family member by impeding breath.  He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and perform 150 hours of community service.

Vera Butler, 47 of Brenham, was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation for possession of a controlled substance.  She was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and perform 120 hours of community service.

Yun Yan Ni, 34 of Houston, was sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication probation for Credit Card Abuse.  She was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and $507 in restitution.
