SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
A Brenham man has been sentenced to prison after his probation was revoked in 21st District Court.
20-year old Jyden Bellinger of Brenham was placed on eight years’ probation back in December of 2015 on a Second-Degree Felony Robbery charge.
That probation was revoked and Bellinger has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison. He was also fined $1500.
Also in Thursday’s session of district court:
40-year old Arthur Duane Lewis of Bellville had his probation for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance revoked.
Lewis was arrested in April of 2012. He was sentenced to five years in prison and fined $1968.21-year old Demarcus Ladarrin Matthews of Houston was sentenced to three years in prison for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
29-year old Merian Solaris Harrell of Houston was placed on six years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Harrell was also fined $1000, ordered to perform 175 hours of community service and ordered to spend 30 days in the Washington Co. Jail.
18-year old Ty David Grimm of Benham was placed on four years’ probation and fined $500 for Unlawful Restraint. Grimm was also ordered to perform 100 hours community service, attend anger management classes and batterers’ intervention.
24-year old Jony Alvarez-Benitez of Brenham was place on two years’ probation and fined $1500 for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Alvarez was also ordered to perform 150 hours of Community Service.
