SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

A Houston man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in a robbery at a Brenham convenience store.

26-year old Myron Thessalonians Ivory, was charged with the robbery one year ago at Tootsie’s on South Market St. in Brenham.

Ivory was sentenced to ten years in prison for First Degree Robbery.  He was also sentenced to two years in prison for Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle.

Also sentenced in 21st District Court were:

47-year old John D. Johnson III of New Ulm, who was sentenced to eight years in prison for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon.

39-year old Glenn Edward Smith, Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to three years in prison for Tampering with Physical Evidence.

37-year old Sheppard Blaine Martin of Brenham, sentenced to 16 months in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

43-year old Michael Wayne Mayberry, Jr. of Brenham, placed on eight years’ probation and fined $2000 for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Mayberry was also ordered to perform 250 hours community service.

And, 46-year old Larry W. Sears of Austin, placed on five years’ probation and fined $1000 for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Sears was also ordered to perform 150 hours community service.
